Safety, privacy and access
The school remains the safeguarding route.
Inventor Lab supports supervised learning. It is not an emergency, counselling or therapy service.
Schools approve participation and provision accounts; children cannot self-register.
Ideas are private by default and are not a social feed.
No likes, rankings, streaks, direct messaging or competitive leaderboards.
Teachers review work before Quinn Labs, mentors or partners can see it.
Names, faces, exact locations and personal circumstances do not belong in idea records.
The Idea Guide and external-tool gateway are disabled by default.
If something raises concern
Stop the activity and use the school's configured safeguarding route. Do not place urgent disclosures in an idea record. In immediate danger, use local emergency services. The platform records restricted alerts and actions for authorised safeguarding leads; it does not diagnose or counsel.
Data boundaries
The private workspace uses school-scoped access controls and private file storage. Public showcases require explicit, version-specific permission. Data export, correction, deletion and permission-withdrawal requests are recorded for review. A DPIA and school data agreement remain required before a live pilot.
